1. Wool selection

Generally, the moisture content of the wool that is directly bent without softening treatment should be controlled at 10%-15%; the moisture content of the square lumber to be steamed and softened should be 25%-30%; the moisture content of the high-frequency softening treatment should be greater than 20%, And the moisture content of the treated wool is 10%-12%.

2. Softening treatment

The most suitable method for industrialized large-scale production in softening treatment is the high-temperature steam method, with a steam pressure of 0.02-0.05MPa and a steam temperature of 100-140°C.

The water boiling method is suitable for materials with low moisture content, and will bring out extracts, causing water pollution; the high-frequency heating method has fast heating speed, short softening period, and uniform heating. The thicker the wood, the more obvious the advantage; microwave heating The softening effect is good, the speed is fast, and the softening is uniform, which is the development direction; after chemical treatment, the stability is strong, and the rebound rate is low, but there will be certain chemical residues, which will cause subsequent troubles.

3. Solid wood bending

Bending is the most important and most complicated part of the whole process. There are different application methods according to the thickness, bending radius, and bending dimension of the bending part.

(1) Ordinary solid wood bending process:

The thickness of the workpiece is relatively thin, within 25mm, and the radius of curvature is larger, above 450mm. It can be bent directly on a multi-layer hot press, but be careful to strike while the iron is hot and bend in high temperature and soft state. This method has high output and simple equipment investment, but the product shape stability is poor.
